Transcranial magnetic stimulation rTMS

FOR A STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM

Findings of psychoneuroimmunology prove that psyche, brain and immune system are closely connected. In the corona crisis rTMS is a unique form of therapy which strengthens your immune system in a natural, physical way, e.g. by: FOR A STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM
• Reduction of proinflammatory cytokines (Interleukin 1 Beta, Interleukin 6, Interleukin 17 A)
and thus modulation of the reaction to invasive viruses or other pathogens as well as
modulation of inflammation, fever and pain
• Modification of the expression and function of the adenosine A2A receptor in neutrophils
and thus protection of the tissue against inflammation
• Modulation of gamma interferon release and thus of the immune response to viruses

Emotional, chronic stress, such as anxiety, weakens the immune system. rTMS provides excellent and often immediate relief from anxiety, depression and sleep disorders:
• due to the anxiety solution the lymphocyte production normalizes
• through sleep regulation, testosterone is increased in men,
which has an anti-inflammatory effect in autoimmune diseases
• through the improvement of mood, the number and resistance
of the natural killer cells increases, for a strong immune system
• due to the relaxation effect, less glucocorticoids (stress hormones) are released,
which normalizes cytokine production, the reactivity of T and B lymphocytes
and the activity of natural killer cells

rTMS protects the brain from autoimmune diseases by
• inhibition of astrocyte proliferation and reduction of IL-6 in the hippocampus

Even low-intensity rTMS is efficiently through:
• reduction of cortisol
• Activation of macrophages
• Modulation of IL-1 beta release
• Modulation of phagocyte activity
• Neuroprotection against oxidative cell damage
• Counteracting processes that promote inflammation
• Release of oxytocin, which in turn reduces stress hormones, activates killer cells,
reduces oxidative cell damage, has an anti-inflammatory effect, serves to relax,
  promote sleep and relieve pain

Immune reactions (e.g. to viral infections) in turn influence the way the brain, the autonomic nervous system and our mental state (e.g. triggering depression):
• IL-1 mediated release of glucocorticoids
• Alpha-Interferon Release
• Inhibition of nerve cell activity in the hippocampus due to the
activity of the protein CXCL-10, which controls the virus defence

What else speaks for repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS)?
• Through very well-tolerated, physiological and thus endogenous, natural magnetic waves, the brain and its nerve cells are set in vibration and thus dynamised, harmonised and synchronised.
• The repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) was first developed in the 1980s for research purposes. In the further development, studies mainly on the treatment of depression followed. The principle is based on electromagnetic induction. Where currents flow there is also a corresponding magnetic flux. If you place a current flowing through a coil over the skull, the magnetic field created penetrates the skull and stimulates the nerve cells of the brain, which in turn react sensitively to currents and magnetic fields and then transmit corresponding impulses. At the beginning of the investigations, it was believed that the magnetic field should be particularly strong in order to directly induce a current flow in the brain by altering the membrane tensions at the cell membrane, which then transmits the current via the axons (nerve cell extensions) to the motor end plates, where a transmitter release occurs.
• For whom rTMS is not suitable: The usual contraindications for therapeutic magnetic fields apply, e.g. pregnancy, pacemakers, severe brain trauma, metal parts in the brain, etc., which should be clarified in each individual case.
• Which side effects does rTMS have: For 18 years the procedure has been used in practice near Munich. Noteworthy side effects are headache and dizziness, which are mild and at best short-lived.
• RTMS therapy areas: Depression • Dementia • Burn Out • Parkinson’s disease • Migraine • Sleep disorders • Stroke • Anxiety • Autism • Internet addiction • Psychosis • Tremor • OCD • Tinnitus • Fat addiction/Bulimia • ADHS • PTSD • Cocaine/nicotine/dependence • Multiple Sclerosis • Pain • Further information on request
